CASE NOIR WALKTHROUGH
There is more that one way to finish Case Noir. This walkthrough is based on reaching a 10 out of 10 score with the highest rating.
Central police station (AM)
Enter the main doors of the police station. Talk to Franky at the desk. Enter the Chief's office. After leaving the Chief's office talk to McCloud.
Enter door (left of desk). Use key on locker No. 11. Exit police station and get in car.
Crime Scene: Gourd lake park
Talk to Coroner. Click on all areas marked with a question mark displayed in the screenshot below.
Talk to McCloud. Present McCloud with the Ornate ashtray evidence.
Enchante club and bar
Enter the door to the club and bar. Talk to Barman. Walk right to the back of the club. Use ID Card on Hobak. Talk to Hobak. When asking Hobak who bought the Victim's ring, select LIE. Talk to Hobak again. When asking Hobak if he believed the Victim's husband is capable of murder, select TRUTH. Return to the bar and speak to McCloud. Present McCloud with Victim's husband evidence.
Use Victim's injuries evidence on phone. Use missing clothing evidence on phone. Use License plate evidence on phone. Go to the door of the house. Use gun on door. Enter house. Click on the note in the kitchen. Enter doorway (right). 'Look' at boots to recieve an evidence update. 'Look' at the photo on the wall. Enter the bedroom doorway (right). Click on the box next to the make-up. Return to the kitchen and speak to McCloud. Exit the house. After the update from the nosy neighbour, talk to McCloud. If you have used the three pieces of evidence on the phone (as described earlier) then select YES.
T & K Autos
Talk to the Mechanic standing infront of the door. Use ID Card on the same Mechanic. Talk to McCloud. Press the small red button. Enter the door that was blocked by the Mechanic. Speak to Harold.
Central police station (PM)
Enter main doors of police station. Enter door (left of desk). Walk to the far right of the corridor and talk to the Chief. Enter the interrogation room. Talk to Harold. Use Evidence/Clues on Harold in any order until the interrogation ends. After talking to the Chief select I DON'T THINK HE DID IT.
Keep walking right until you reach the door to 401. Enter through the door. Now exit the building by going out of the door you just entered. Check the door bells on the wall (left of door). Click on the Frisco name plate and exit. Enter door 401 again. Press button next to the elevator. Click on buttons inside the elevator. Select floor 3. Walk down the hall and click on the door to apartment 7. Use gun on door. Enter apartment.
Enter the doorway on the right. Click on the box. Return to the kitchen and talk to McCloud. Chase Frisco out of the apartment and on to the street. Quickly use gun on Frisco.
You should now have a score of 10 out of 10 and the rating: Advanced.
Pick up the large stone and use it on the car door to break the window. Retrieve wallet and car keys, exit car and then exit right. Look at sign and then exit right.
Once you are at the garage head to exit straight ahead. Enter the door to the garage shop. Look at the tourist information leaflet and then follow Kate outside. Go back in and try to open the door at the back of the shop. Head back outside and exit right.
Enter the cafe. To the left is a map of Rabbit hill for reference purposes. Look at the postcard and pick up the book about wild flowers. Head through the exit at the back of the cafe. In the kitchen, look at the answerphone and listen to the recorded messages. Look at the notepad and memorise the number written down. Now exit the cafe the same way you came in.
Head up the alleyway to the left of the cafe. Check the rubbish bin. Exit left and enter the toilet on the right. Explore the toilet to discover a dead body. Exit the toilet and head back to the motel rooms (the area with three doors and a rubbish bin).
Click on door 2 and enter the code that was written down on the notepad in the kitchen. Then use the door latch to enter the motel room.
Keep trying to use your mobile until the battery dies. Now place the phone on the docking station to recharge.
Exit the motel room and go back to the garage shop. Try the door again to speak to Dan. Now go back to motel room 2 (using the code again to enter) and retrieve the phone.
The next part requires a bit of exploring until you find an area with two bars of reception on the mobile display in the top-right corner of the screen. The closest place is the area with two parked vans (far left of the garage forecourt). Once you have found two bars of reception use the phone to call the police. Now head back into Room 2 (using the code again). Use this opportunity to check out the other objects in the room. Once done, head back outside and you should be able to hear a police car arriving.
Go to the left side of the garage forecourt to find the police car. Saving the game is strongly advised at this point. Check the policeman's body to scare of the crows. Now check the body again to pick up the policeman's gun.
Once you have survived the gun mini-game go in to the garage shop and talk to Dan behind the door. Exit the shop and head round to the back of the garage where the toilets are. Climb through the broken window to enter the office.
Examine the radio and use the tuner to go through the various radio stations. Check out the laptop. Look at the spilt tea and memorise the first two numbers of room 3. Use the wallet (inventory) to open it and take out the card and coin. Use the card to unlock the right-hand door.
Enter the door. Look at the fusebox. Take the fuse and place it in the empty space between the other two fuses. Exit fusebox and flick the switch to turn on the lights. Pick up the lubricant. Exit through the door back in to the office.
Go to motel room door 3. Enter the first two numbers you found with the spilt tea. You will have to guess the third number then try the latch. If the door does not open the lock will reset and you will have to enter the first two numbers again before trying a different third number.
Once inside, look at the documents and read through the journal. Now check the jacket to find an alarm fob.
Go to the area with the two parked vans and use the alarm fob. Open the unlocked van and pick up the EMF meter.
Turn on the EMF meter. Now you will have to explore Rabbit hill
woods until you find the highest reading on the EMF meter display.
The screenshot (right) shows the exact location. Once you are
standing at the correct spot a hidden exit should become available
to the left of your position (see screenshot). Go left through the trees.
Now follow this path until you reach the base of the tower.
Check the body to discover a scrap of paper. Head back to the motel
Go to door 1 and use the code written on the scrap of paper to enter.
Pick up the paper scrap on the floor. The missing pages of the journal
can also be found on the floor. Click on the paper scrap in the
inventory to see a list. It's time to collect ingredients!
Head to the front of the cafe and go south on to the road. Go to the
exit over the road (to the farmhouse).
Enter the door far left and pick up the matchbox. Go back outside. Use the lubricant on the middle door. Enter the shed.
Flick the red switch and then press the button to turn on the light. Pick up the empty jar and exit.
Enter the door on the far right. In the barn, use the car keys on the rusty paint tin to open it and get the candle inside.
Head back out to the road and go left to the phonebox. Examine the roadside (right of phonebox) and take the cow parsley. Take the exit left of the phonebox that heads back in to the woods. Exit straight ahead. In the area with the woodland sign, exit right. Exit left (round the corner) to the next area. Examine the vegetation and take the nettle. Now continue on the path (left, south, left, south) until you reach the woodland junction with three path directions. Take the middle path and enter the treacle mine.
Use the candle in the inventory on the spent candles inside the cave. Now use the matches to light the candle. Use the empty jar on the treacle pool. Now head back to the cafe.
Use the coin on the vending machine to gain the juice drink. Go in to the kitchen and pick up the salt shaker on the right. Now examine the blender.
Use juice drink on blender jug. Now add treacle, cow parsley, nettle and finally salt. Press the blender button to gain the offering.
Now head back to the tower in the woods (use the EMF meter to find the hidden path again).
Use the offering on the plinth at the top of the tower.
